The Hi-Lo Diner is a refurbished 1950s-era retrofitted diner originally from Gibsonia, PA. Step inside and you’re immediately brought back to it’s heyday of a bustling diner off the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Hi-Lo needed a menu which gave a nod to the retro aesthetic of the diner, yet still tastefully displayed its expansive list of food offerings.

   Answer:   We wanted a menu that made sense for a restored beauty like the diner. Picture a bright space full of windows. The morning light bounces off its gleaming chrome and graceful art deco curves.  In order to create a look consistent with the

We wanted a menu that made sense for a restored beauty like the diner. Picture a bright space full of windows. The morning light bounces off its gleaming chrome and graceful art deco curves.

In order to create a look consistent with the retro vibe, I opted for a scalloped-edge placemat style menu. Color choices were inspired by the diner’s aquamarine upholstery and vibrant red neon signage out front.
